I would like permission to use/present your song “Had it not been” to sing during the Passover season at our church… and add to to the repertoire of the worship list.
Travis Hines, here. I don’t know whether you remember me, but I was a member at Hope Chapel back in the 90’s. In the past year I’ve become the rector/pastor of Immanuel Anglican Church here in Northern Virginia.
Among the many songs from Hope Chapel that remain in my head & heart is “Lord, Take Our Children.” With your permission, I’d like to introduce it to my new church family, and begin using it on a regular basis. In addition to your permission, I also would need either sheet music or a chord chart so I could teach it to our musicians. Would you be willing to share these with us?
Hi, Travis. Of course we remember you and are honored and blessed that you remember us. Great to hear from you. Expect a response from Deb as well. Actually the chord chart for the song is on the web site. Under the ‘Songs of Hope’ menu, the Children’s song page has the lyrics and at the bottom of the lyrics is a link to the chord chart for the song, in the key of D.
Thank you for blessing us with your music. God has given you both the gift of praise and worship. May the Spirit continue to inspire you with HIS message through your music.

Hello! I’m seeking permission to use an SATB arrangement of “Had It Not Been the Lord” in a congregational supplement book. Where could I get permission and pay any necessary fees? Thanks!
My name is Chevron Ross. I am writing a novel in which I wish to use a verse from “Had It Not Been the Lord” in the text. I want to ask your permission to reprint a verse from “Had It Not Been the Lord” in a Christian novel I am writing. I have not yet decided on a title for the book.
I looked up the copyright information for this song and found the following:
Registration No./Date PAu002390121 / 1999-02-06
Copyright Claimant Michael P. O’Neill & Julia M. O’Neill
Can you verify if this is correct?
If you wish to check out my previous Christian Novels, you may do so at https://chevronross.net/. Thank you for considering my request.
Hi, Chevron. I am not sure about that copyright info you quote. Deb wrote this particular song much earlier and has copyright on it. I will send you a separate email and Deb will contact you about permission for your book.
I would like to get permission to use your song in an electronic slide projection. Who do I contact?
Just sent you a message.
Jack

Hi, Michael. Thanks for the response. Expect a reply from Deb soon..
Curious what city you and Deb were married in. Not many I would think with same last name.
Hi, Angela. That would be Altus, OK. Ring a bell??
Debbie,
Thanks for writing “Had it Not Been The Lord”! Blessings to your ministry!
Ian. We are blessed to hear from you. Thanks for the response..
Thanks Ian. Blessings to you, too!

I love you song and would like to use it in our worship service. Is there somewhere I can buy Powerpoint slides and obtain rights to use it?
Thanks.
Thanks for asking, Dean. I have responded to you via email. Blessings

Good evening,
Our church choir would like to sing your song “Had it not been the Lord” and I was wondering if we could purchase the sheet music from you?
Thanks so much!
Thanks for the question, Mark. We don’t have any choral arrangements for Deb’s music at this time.
Who do we contact for licensing one of your songs?
I will send you contact information via email, Jessica. Thanks for asking.
I would like to be contacted regarding a mechanical license. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks for you interest, Greg. We have contacted you via email.
